µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø Celebrates 2026 Nursing Graduates with Pinning Ceremonies

May 27, 2026

µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍønical Community College hosted several pinning ceremonies on May 7 to celebrate and recognize the 158 graduates from its Associate Nursing Degree program as they take their next steps toward professional nursing careers. These special pinning ceremonies are a tradition closely tied to an award given to legendary nurse Florence Nightingale, who is best known for leading nurses across the battlefields during the Crimean War to care for injured soldiers. During the ceremonies, graduates received a symbolic pin to mark their completion of the program. After the formal presentation of the pins, the graduates held candles as they recited the Nightingale Pledge.

During the Stanton Campus ceremony, 66 graduates were recognized. The Owens Campus honored 49 graduates, while the Terry Campus celebrated 43.

µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø’s nursing department offers Associate Nursing Degree (RN), Practical Nursing Studies (PN), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs. These are designed to teach skills that are essential for the betterment of health in the community.
