Hometown Heroes 5k Run / 1 Mile Walk Raises Funds for Student Scholarship

On Thursday, September 22, µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø's Stanton and Wilmington campuses hosted the Hometown Heroes 5k Run / 1 Mile Walk at Rockford Park in Wilmington to raise funds for student scholarships.

More than 100 participants joined volunteers comprised of µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø employees, students, and community for a beautiful evening of running, refreshments, and post-race festivities. First place male was Joseph Volk, a µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø cross country student athlete with a time of 18:17.9. First place female was Kaitlyn Cavallucci, also a µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø cross country student athlete with a time of 21:49.4.

Generous sponsors who contributed to the event included:

Overall, the race raised more than $11,000 to assist with student scholarships.
