Michael Buoni
Science Instructor
Michael Buoni is a science instructor at the Owens Campus who teaches genetics and molecular biology. He joined µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø in 2010, attracted to the College’s hands-on approach to teaching in small classroom settings, which is what he likes most about working at the College.
Prior to joining µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø, Buoni taught high school biology for 11 years and also taught at the University of Delaware.
“My first day at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø was fantastic!” Buoni said. “Dr. Vezmar, who was my supervisor at the time, spent much of the day introducing me to many people and was very supportive.”
His fondest memories as a µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø instructor have been the times when he has incorporated research into his courses.
Outside the classroom, Buoni enjoys brewing beer, smoking meat, gardening, and golf. He also loves romantic comedies.
