Wanda Hunt
Human Resources Technician
Wanda Hunt began working at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø in 2005 as an employee on the Terry Campus in Dover. In 2022, she joined the Owens Campus in Georgetown where she works as a human resources technician. Wanda’s team of coworkers is her favorite thing about working at the College, because although they each have individual responsibilities, they work together to achieve success. Off campus, Wanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends and working in her local community. Her future plans include traveling and enjoying even more time with her three grandchildren.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø?
“The team that I work with. While we all have individual responsibilities and duties, we work collectively to achieve positive results for those we assist inside and outside of the College.”
Q: What made you want to come work at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø?
“I knew that it would be an overall good work environment with opportunities for growth/advancement.”
Q: What did you do before working at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø?
“I worked as an activities aide at my local senior center where I, but not limited to, prepared and executed a monthly newsletter and activities calendar and assisted attendees and the center’s director.”
Q: Describe your first day at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø. What was that experience like?
“My first day went smoothly. Everyone was very helpful and made me feel welcome.”
Q: What hobbies or interests do you have outside of the College?
“I love spending time with my family and close friends and working in my local community.”
Q: Do you have a favorite memory from your time at µÚÒ»³Ô¹ÏÍø thus far?
“I would have to say working with the in-school youth program of middle/high school students while at the Terry Campus. Working with a diverse population of students; seeing them enter the program unfocused with no set goals, blossom into outgoing, goal-oriented young men and women ready to enter the workforce, secondary education, trade, or the military.”
Q: What’s something people may not know about you?
“I am a grandmother of three.”
Q: What are your future goals?
“Perhaps earning an advanced degree. Traveling and spending time with family, especially the grands.”
